Available platforms
GUNDALF is written
using an exceptionally portable client-server architecture designed
by Oakwood Computing Associates Ltd. The product is available on:-
-
Windows 95,
98, NT, 2000, ME and XP
-
Linux, (Red-Hat
6.1+, SUSE 6.4+)
The same source
code is used on all these platforms. All calculations are done internally
at double precision. On an Athlon 1.1 Ghz. SCSI machine with 256 Mb.
of main memory, a 28 gun array with full interactions and numerous clusters
takes under 30 seconds to produce a 1000 sample far-field signature
with an external sample interval of 1 msec.
The model has been
used continually over the last 10 years to model arrays on a commercial
bureau basis on Unix based machines. In the last 6 months, after a number
of requests from users, it has been completely rewritten within this
portable architecture to be made available for the first time as a licensed
product.
